Istanbul Journal of Arabic Studies
(ISTANBULJAS)
Istanbul Journal of Arabic Studies (ISTANBULJAS), a double-blind, peer-reviewed international scholarly journal has been published by a group of academicians from Istanbul University since 2018. The main purpose of the biannually published ISTANBULJAS is to provide a platform for international academicians and researchers to publish original and qualified articles and book reviews in Arabic language and literature studies as well as in the areas of Islamic culture, art, history, and philosophy. It also aims to encourage interdisciplinary studies in the fields of Arabic language, literature, culture, art, history, and philosophy and thus become one of the leading international journals in the area. The Journal has been indexed in the most prestigious database of Turkey, ULAKBIM TR DIZIN and INDEX COPERNİCUS since 2020. After this step, ISTANBULJAS aims to be indexed in other internationally reputable databases. Including articles in Turkish, Arabic and, English, our Journal is published in June and December. The articles to be published will be given a DOI number, and the journal can be accessed via open access at https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/istanbuljas.
The journal will open the system to accept articles as of July 1, 2025.
Last date to submit an article for the December 2025 issue is 30.09.2025.
Depending on the volume of article submissions, the journal reserves the right to close the system to article acceptance without prior notice.
