Artsource has been retired.

As of February 2023, the Artsource web site is no longer available at ILPI. You can still view the site using the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, but it is no longer being updated.

The Artsource web site was originally created by Mary Molinaro, an art librarian at the University of Kentucky. Artsource was a gathering point for networked resources on Art and Architecture. The diverse content included pointers to resources around the net as well as original materials submitted by librarians, artists, and art historians, etc. The site was intentionally selective, rather than comprehensive.

We took the site over from Mary in 2002 and hosted it over the next 20 years, but without an in-house art/architecture expert, it became too time-consuming and tedious to maintain. We felt it best to simply retire the site rather than leave it up as a legacy work full of broken and outdated links. It was a good run, though.
