PEBL Cognitive Screening Test (PCST)

The PEBL Cognitive Screening Test is a comprehensive cognitive assessment battery inspired by widely-used screening instruments such as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA), Mini-Mental State Exam (MMSE), and SLUMS. The PCST includes multiple subtests assessing diverse cognitive domains: trails (attention and executive function), cube drawing (visuospatial construction), clock drawing (visuospatial ability and executive function), word learning and delayed recall (episodic memory), naming (semantic memory and language), serial recall forward and backward (working memory), go/no-go (response inhibition), sentence verification (language comprehension), semantic oddball (semantic knowledge), serial subtraction (mental arithmetic), stem completion (verbal fluency), and temporal orientation (orientation to time). The test generates an HTML report with scores for each subtest and a total score, making it suitable for screening mild cognitive impairment in research or clinical settings. Note that some subtests have audio instructions that are not yet fully recorded.
