  • Call for papers: AI and the Everyday Lives of Young People: Emerging Opportunities and Challenges

This special issue examines the opportunities and challenges that young people face with the widespread incorporation of AI-fueled technologies into education, work, leisure, health, and well-being. We welcome contributions from scholars in sociology, science and technology studies, educational studies, media and communication studies, anthropology, cultural studies, and other related disciplines. We especially encourage work that employs sociological perspectives and methods to examine how AI shapes, mediates, and becomes embedded in the everyday lives of young people. Submissions should present empirically grounded research addressing AI and the Everyday Lives of Young People: Emerging Opportunities and Challenges.

  • Call for papers: Digital Transformations: Rethinking the Dynamic of Production and Consumption

To navigate the digital society's transition, it's imperative to dissect the intertwined nature of production and consumption. We should investigate how digital production models are reshaping daily routines and, in turn, how consumer habits are influencing product development. Additionally, we must identify the risks of this integration, such as invisible alienation and the rise of consumerism. These issues necessitate deeper investigation.
